Itinerary

Day 1: Fes – Ifrane – Midelt – Ziz Valley – Merzouga

Depart early from Fes and pass through Ifrane, a charming alpine town, and Azrou’s cedar forest (home to wild monkeys). After lunch in Midelt, descend through the dramatic Ziz Valley and reach the edge of the Sahara at Merzouga. Ride a camel into the Erg Chebbi dunes and arrive at your desert camp just in time for a golden sunset. Enjoy dinner, Berber music, and stargazing by the fire.

Day 2: Merzouga – Rissani – Todgha Gorges – Dades Valley

Catch the desert sunrise, then head west. Visit the bustling market town of Rissani before continuing to the towering Todgha Gorges, perfect for a walk between steep canyon walls. Journey through the Dades Valley, known for its bizarre rock formations and Kasbahs. Spend the night in a local guesthouse surrounded by red cliffs and date palms.

Day 3:Dades – Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – Marrakech

Travel along the Route of 1000 Kasbahs toward Ouarzazate, the “Hollywood of Africa.” Explore the ancient ksar of Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage site featured in Game of Thrones and Gladiator. Then cross the High Atlas Mountains via the scenic Tizi n’Tichka Pass (2,260 m) and arrive in vibrant Marrakech by evening.
